Think you could handle Donald Trump’s board room?

It looks so easy on TV, doesn’t it? After your task, file in to The Donald’s luxurious board room and sink into one of his cushy leather chairs. After a few minutes of heat, someone’s fired (hopefully not you), and you get to head back to the penthouse for a steak and lobster feast, right?

Maybe not so much.

According to recently-eliminated Celebrity Apprentice star, Nely Galan, the board room we see and the board room the Apprenticesexperience are far from one and the same.

For one thing, Galan tells Reality TV Magazine, the 10-minute board room meeting on TV is the highly edited version – the real version lasting aboutthree hours.

“[Donald Trump]picks at you and picks at you,” she says. “You feel like you’re in school. You’re only human. You take it personally, you know?”

To make matters worse, Galan claims, the contestants are running mostly on nervous energy.

“You don’t eat. You barely sleep. I lost seven pounds while doing the show,”she says. It’s a combination rigorous enough to tax even the most patient person.

Galan was one of the few contestants on The Apprentice to stand up to Donald Trump in the boardroom on the night of her firing, a move that resonated with viewers. Galan claims she still has women stop her on the streets to congratulate her for standing up for herself and for doing it in a classy way.

Galan claims that The Donald was “speechless” after her remarks and she had expected her comments to be edited out of the episode entirely, but was pleasantly surprised to see that the show kept them.

“I’ve worked for billionaires before,” she says. “They really are tough bosses and they kind of put you down. But if you don’t stand up for yourself, they don’t respect you.”

So does Galan hold agrudge against Donald Trump for going after her in the board room?

No way. “[Celebrity Apprentice] was really helpful to me and has changed the way I’ll do business from now on,” Galan says. “I couldn’t have paid Donald Trump enough for what I’ve learned.”

Celebrity Apprentice airs Thursdays at 9:00 PM (ET) on NBC.
