The Bachelor: Where Are They Now?

March 10, 2008 08:52 PM by Jennifer_Brown

Chris_Harrison_Courtesy_Bob_D'Amico_ABCAs excitement over the newest season of The Bachelor (starring Londoner, Matt Grant) whips into frenzied proportions, tonight Bachelor host Chris Harrison took fans on a guided “Where Are They Now?” tour of the ghosts of Bachelors past.

So here’s the dirt on some of the most loved (and hated) Bachelors and their Bachelortettes.

Would it shock you to hear that commitment-phobe Brad Womack from season 11, who ditched both Jenni and DeAnna at the altar, was a no-show for theWhere Are They Nowshow as well? Maybe not, but Jenni and DeAnna were both on hand to give us the skinny on what’s been going on in their lives, post-Brad.

Jenni is still dancing for the Phoenix Suns and has turned her pretty mug into a cover shot, gracing the cover of So Scottsdale magazine. In one word, Jenni says she’d describe Brad as “History,” and she has the new fiance to prove it. “[Being dumped by Brad] definitely did not affect my outlook on love at all,” she says.

DeAnna, looking more gorgeous than ever, is readying herself for her upcoming stardom on The Bachelorette. “I want my fairytale ending,” she says.

For season 2 Bachelor, Aaron Buerge, life is about food. His restaurant, Trolley’s, opened in Springfield, Missouri, with another openingjust over the Kansas border. Aaron, whose engagement with Helene was kaput just a few months after the show ended, can’t help but wonder what might have happened had he spent a little more time with Brooke or Gwen.

Speaking of breakups…has Andrew Firestone’s breakup with Jennifer left him broken up? Nope. He’s met a new mate — Ivana — and the two are planning a wedding on his parents’ estate. Ivana says she’s glad that Andrew went on The Bachelor and got all those wild oats sown and out of his system before she got her hands on him.

Season 1 Bachelor, Alex Michel, is reportedly a successful management consultant in New York City, while Bachelor Jesse Palmer works as a New York correspondent for a Canadian entertainment news program. Sexy Dr. Travis Lane Stork is working as a doctor on a medical talk show. And, of course, jokester Bob Guiney is an ABC daytime host, and happily married to All My Children star, Rebecca Budig (Greenlee Smythe).

And, of course, it wouldn’t be a Bachelor anything if we didn’t spend a little time with successful Bachelorette couple, Trista and Ryan (and now baby Max, too). Trista, who is a stay-at-home mom, says, “I am just in love with my life!” The couple is busy raising baby Max and building their enviro-friendly dream home.

Harrison also caught up with some of the Bachelorettes we still remember.

Trish, who, after jilted by Jesse, crashed his date to give him one last shot to be with her, says she still has the infamous “gold digger” t-shirt, but no regrets about what she did. Now engaged, she says, “I’m not that single crazy girl anymore.”

Erica, the debutante from season 9, has opened her own line of tiara-wear. Called TiErica, the head jewelry is designed to “bring out your inner princess.”

Heather, who got ditched in both seasons 2 and 6, says after giving up on dating for a while, she reconnected with an old high school classmate and ended up married.

Christi, Aaron’s “emotional basketcase,” says she “could live forever without a husband.” She’s got a successful career and her own home in Boise, Idaho (and an extremely cute little Yorkie to warm her toes at night).

Kristen, the orange-peel jokester who turned off Dr. Travis on the yacht, has found someone who can appreciate her sense of humor. She has found herself a committed relationship, just like Bevin (might be getting engaged), Moana (engaged), and Brooke (married…and a TV reporter…and a marathon runner!).

Finally, the results of ABC’s online poll are in. Here is how Bachelor fans voted:

The Most Romantic Moment in Bachelor History: Byron’s proposal to Mary.

The Most Dramatic Moment in Bachelor History: Andy’s rejection of Peyton.

The Least Favorite Bachelor: Prince Lorenzo Borghese

The Most Favorite Bachelor: Andy Baldwin (who is, as we speak, serving our country somewhere in the South Pacific. Thank you, Andy!)

The Bachelor 12 premieres Monday, March 17th at 10:00 PM (ET) on ABC.
