If you’re going to go up against a giant like American Idol, you’d better have big vocal guns at your disposal. Like, for example, celebrities, or even better…celebs’ kids.
MTV’s new reality singing competition series, Rock the Cradle, is doing just that — pittingoffspring of celebrities against one another in a singing smackdown.
The show, which is scheduled to premiere April 3rd, will include weekly performances, judged by singers and other influential Hollywood-types.
Here’s a list of the celebrity spawn we can expect to hear warbling for the win (warning: groaner alert ahead!):
*Will they be like Nite and Day? Lil Al B Sure, son of R&B star, Al B Sure.
*Life’s been good to her so far! Eagles sensation Joe Walsh’s daughter, Lucy Walsh.
*She’s got two tickets to MTVparadise! Eddie Money’s daughter, Jesse Money.
*Will she get physical if she loses? That would be Chloe Rose Lattanzi, Olivia Newton John’s daughter.
*No, he’s not Jesse Money’s twisted sister. He’s Jesse Blaze Snider, Dee Snider’s son.
*Jesus is just alright with Laura Johnston, daughter of the Doobie Brothers’ Tom Johnston.
*Stop! It’s A’Keiba time! That’s A’Keiba Burrell Hammer, daughter of MC Hammer.
*His mama may not dance, but his daddy suredoes rock ‘n roll! How about Kenny Loggins’ son, Crosby Loggins.
*It’s his prerogative! Look out for Landon Brown, son of Bobby Brown.
Rock the Cradle premieres April 3rd at 10:00 PM (ET) on MTV.
