American Idol Family Says Goodbye To Little Sister

Ramiele Malubay, Kristy Lee Cook, Brooke WhiteThe American Idol results show always seems to end with plenty of hugs and tears. As Brooke White, Kristy Lee Cook, and Ramiele Malubay waited on stage for the results, they all three hugged. Ramiele described the moment, “We were just hugging each other. We were roommates, we all lived together, along with Syesha. We were just talking to each other, like, Brooke was like, ‘You know I love you guys no matter what happens.’ And Kristy was like, ‘I’m here, guys. I love you guys.’ I kind of knew it was me when they went to go sit down.”

Just like the finalists eliminated before her, Ramiele Malubay stressed to the media that all the finalists were just one big, happy family. Ramiele explained, “Honestly, we never really thought of it as a competition until like Wednesdays when someone has to go home.”

Ramiele added, “It’s really weird, we’d like help each other. We’re a big family, we’re not out to get the other person kicked off or anything, you know? When we help each other we really help each other. It’s genuine and it comes from the heart. We don’t sugarcoat things just for the camera, do you know what I mean?”

What role did Ramiele play in the American Idol family? Perhaps, because she was only four feet and eleven inches tall, Ramiele was often treated like the little sister on the show. Ramiele explained, “I mean I’m older than Archuleta and he walks by me all the time and pats me on the head like I’m his little sister.”

David Archuleta wasn’t the only onewho Ramiele felt treated her like a sister. When asked if there was any thing that she wasn’t going to miss about the show like maybe sharing a bathroom, Ramiele said, “I mean, Syesha and I are like sisters, so the whole sharing the bathroom, we’ve been together since Hollywood Week, so it’s not really a problem. I’m just going to miss everything. I’m not going to not miss anything. I wish I wasn’t leaving, but I’ll still see those four.”

Even though he didn’t make the finalists round, Ramiele told reporters that she had also formed a good friendship with Danny Noriega. In fact, Ramiele revealed that she and Danny planned to be roommates after American Idol. Ramiele said, “I’m not sure yet when we’re going to move in together because of the tour and whatnot. But I do know we’re really close. I still talk to him every single day. We’re going to move in. We’re a friend duet.”

In regards to Danny, Ramiele also added, “We just got so close. You don’t really get to share that kind of experience with just anybody, so he and I, it’s like we clicked and we want to be there for each other. And I’ll be fine and he’ll be fine and we’ll take care of each other.”
