America’s Most Wanted premiered in 1988. Over the last twenty years, viewers of the show have helped in the capture of nearly 1,000 dangerous fugitives. Now, America’s Most Wanted is airing an episode that will profile a crime suspect from every state in the United States.
The special episode is called “50 States, 50 Fugitives.” Fugitives range from a prison escapee in Alabama to an accused killer on the run in Wyoming. The nationwide manhunt will be coordinated by host John Walsh at the AMW Crime Center. Correspondents in San Francisco, Chicago, Atlanta, New York, Nashville and even at the U.S.-Mexico border in Arizona will report from their locations.
The U.S. Marshals Service will have task forces on alert throughout the country to respond to viewer tips. AMW’s website will include a map profiling fugitives from each state. America’s Most Wanted airs on Saturday, April 19 from 9 PM to 10 PM ET/PT on FOX.
