ABC has announced that Disney’s High School Musical: Summer Session, currently in casting, will be hosted by Lachey. Lachey, who recently recorded the title song to Oprah Winfrey’s “Mitch Albom’s For One More Day,” is also known around reality TV circles as the guy who brought a Cincinnati choir to the top spot on NBC’s Clash of the Choirs. Lachey was also seen guest-starring recently in Alicia Keys’ Fresh Takes.

Oh. And he’s also known for being extremely hot.

The open casting calls for Disney’s High School Musical: Summer Session begin this Sunday at Long Beach Arena in Long Beach, California, and continue to Disney’s Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida.

High School Musical: Summer Session will premiere on Sunday, July 20th at 8:00 PM (ET) on ABC. The show will air Sundays and Mondays for three weeks, and then will continue on Mondays only until mid-September.
