We’ve been watching all season, and what originally looked like no competition for Kristi Yamaguchi has turned into a tight competition, as the three Dancing with the Stars finalists take to the stage to fight for the coveted mirrorball trophy.
On Monday, May 19th, Kristi Yamaguchi, Cristian de la Fuente and Jason Taylor will all take to the floor to dance a Cha Cha Cha. The band will play an extended version of the same song, which the teams will all dance to. Each team will dance to a section of the song and then will step aside for the next team to go, giving the audience and the judges the chance to see their skills alongside one another. After the Cha Cha Cha, the dancers will bring their best Freestyle routines to the stage.
Tuesday, May 20th, will bring the two-hour results show, and will begin with announcing the third place couple, and allowing them to dance a farewell dance. After that, the remaining two couples will each dance a final dance, allowing the judges the opportunity to get in one more score, which will be combined with judges’ scores and viewer votes from Monday night to determine a winner.
Also to be expected on Tuesday’s show: a return of all of this season’s eliminated couples, who will perform a special dance. The crowning of the Junior Ballroom Champs will also take place. And Grammy-winner Usher will perform “Love in this Club” from his new album and a special remix of “Yeah.”
Finally, the winner of this season’s Dancing with the Stars will be announced.
