According to an ABC promotional release, the new reality series Wipeout will feature the wildest obstacle course ever seen on TV. Endemol USA recently began production on the series in Los Angeles, and the show is set to premiere on Tuesday, June 24 from 8 PM to 9 PM ET on ABC.
Wipeout will feature twenty-four contestants, who will take part in the world’s largest extreme obstacle course. The contestants will be of all ages, shapes, and sizes. The competition will last for a total of four rounds. The winner will earn the title of “Wipeout Champion” and a grand prize of $50,000.
Every week, Wipeout will feature twenty-four new contestants and all new courses. The obstacles have names like “Dizzy Dummy,” “Dirty Balls,” and “The Dreadmill.” In “The Dreadmill,” contestants jump over hurdles on a forty foot long treadmill. John Anderson of ESPN’s SportsCenter and John Henson of E! Entertainment’s Talk Soup are hosts of the series, and Jill Wagner is a co-host.
