Kellie Pickler And Julianne Hough To Host CMA Music Festival Special On ABC

Two reality TV stars will be part of the hosting trio for ABC’s CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night To Rock special. The special’s two reality TV hosts will be American Idol finalist Kellie Pickler and Dancing With The Stars professional dancer Julianne Hough. Sharing hosting duties with Kellie and Julianne will also be CMA Horizon Award winner Taylor Swift.

Kellie Pickler finished in sixth place on the fifth season of American Idol. After American Idol, Kellie Pickler moved to Nashville, Tennessee, and she launched a very successful country music career. Kellie’s debut album “Small Town Girl” went Gold, and she just released a new single called “Don’t You Know You’re Beautiful,” which will be on her forthcoming sophomore album.

Julianne Hough is a professional dancer on Dancing With The Stars, who won in two consecutive seasons. In addition to dancing, Julianne has a passion for Country Music. Julianne recently released her self-titled debut album on Mercury Nashville. Her single, “That Song in My Head,” is making a big splash on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.

The special was filmed during the annual CMA Music Festival from June 5 through June 8. The special includes performances by such artists as Trace Adkins, Rodney Atkins, Billy Ray Cyrus, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Jewel, Miranda Lambert, Kellie Pickler, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Josh Turner, Carrie Underwood, and Dwight Yoakam. In addition to the musical performances, the special will also include behind-the-scenes moments between country music artists and their fans.

CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock will air on Monday, September 8 from 9 PM to 11 PM ET on ABC.
