Recently we got to sit down and ask the latest designer to leave the HGTV hit show Design Star some tough questions. We wanted to know how he felt about the show so far and boy did he tell us!
RTVM: Overall was it a good experience and would you do it again?
Michael: It was amazing experience. How many designers can say they designed on National TV? I am one lucky guy!
RTVM: Did you find the judging fair?
Michael: Until the dayI went home…Yes. BUT I would have to say, I dont believeI should have gone home, but someone had to.
RTVM: What really happened behind the scenes that they didn’t show on TV?
Michael: The truth? What you see is what you get. I believe that everyone was played 100% real.
RTVM: What are your plans now?
Michael: Work work and more work. (Visit his website)
RTVM: Who do you think will be able to hang in there to win the whole competition?
Michael:I would have never guessed thatI would be home now. SoI have no clue, it is fair game.
RTVM: Where do you find the inspiration for your designs?
Michael: In the work worldI find inspiriation from my clients! Inthe HGTVworld I found inspiration from my life experience.
RTVM: How does your childhood effect who you are and what you do now?
Michael: OMG it does! My parents let me be creative while I was growing up. Sometimes they did not like whatI was doing, but they felt that is whoI was and that is howI expressed myself.
