On tonights episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Ty and his team will be saluting an American hero that servered 2 tours in Iraq and lost a leg in combat.

In a special two hour episode starting at 8PM ET/PT, the team will spend a week in the home of U.S. Marine Daniel Gilyeat, a single father, who was on a mission during the second tour in Iraq which he volunteered for, when a bomb went off. This very determined man who was up on crutches and a prosthetic leg just 25 days after the harrowing experience, found himself a single man and father struggling to adequately take care of his children.

When Daniel is not being an inspiration to other wounded soldiers he is trying to get around his house that is definitely NOT handicap accessible with uneven floors and a laundry room that is in the basement. Ty and his team want to help this father who is an inspiration to hundreds of soldiers and father’s around the country.
