Reality TV has gone to the dogs, and we mean that literally. Greatest American Dog is a new reality TV show starring twelve dogs and their owners.
In the premiere episode, the twelve dogs and their owners move into the Canine Academy mansion. After sizing each other up, the teams compete in a Dog Bone Competition called “Musical Chairs.” The winning teams receives the reward of getting to stay in the luxury Dog Bone Suite.
In addition to the suite, the winning team also gets to send one of the other teams to the Dog House, which is much smaller accommodations. The twelve teams also compete in a Best In Show Competition called “Doggies Got Talent.” Based on the performances, three judges will make the decision to expel one team from Canine Academy.
Greatest American Dog is hosted by zoologist Jarod Miller. The show premieres on Thursday, July 10 from 8 PM to 9 PM ET/PT on CBS.
