While Lou Ferrigno, who played the Incredible Hulk on TV, has made his interest in Dancing With The Stars known, there is now another former superhero actor who has been linked to the show. According to the New York Post, Adam West, who played Batman in the sixties TV series, is being considered for the show.
Adam West turns eighty years old on September 19, 2008, which is three days before the premiere date of the seventh season of Dancing With The Stars. At eighty years old, Adam West would be the oldest contestant ever on the show.
The New York Post quotes a source as saying that West is in “outstanding shape.” The New York Post also quotes a rep for West as saying that he is “not definite yet, but is one of the people they are seriously looking at.”
Adam West is already known in the dancing world for doing The Batusi, a dance move that involves making a horizontal v-sign with your fingers and then drawing them in front of your eyes. If West does make the cast, then it will be interesting to see if The Batusi surfaces during his dancing.
With superhero films ruling the box office this summer and The Dark Knight on track to become at least the second highest grossing movie of all time, ABC would be making a wise move to cast West. If both Ferrigno and West make the show, then it would be the ultimate Batman versus The Incredible Hulk showdown for comic book fans.
