Fox Reality Channel has announced that their original reality series Solitary will be returning for a third season. Solitary 3.0 is currently in pre-production by creators Andrew Golder and Lincoln Hiatt. ShineReveille International will be in charge of licensing Solitary’s format and finished episodes worldwide.
“Solitary is a perfect format for the international market as it is both completely relatable and can be managed with the precise financial model that is sought after by foreign buyers,” said Chris Grant, who is President of ShineReveille International. “We are thrilled to make Fox Reality Channel a strategic partner given their incredible track record in creating ground breaking alternative content.”
“Solitary and Solitary 2.0 were trendsetters in reality television,” said Bob Boden, who is Fox Reality Channel Senior Vice President of Programming. “‘Solitary 3.0′ will push the limits of human tolerance even further and allow our viewers to go along for the wild ride while, luckily for them, watching comfortably from their homes.”
Solitary 3.0 will feature nine new participants, who will take on grueling physical and psychological tests. Fox Reality is promoting this Solitary 3.0 as the most intense season yet and promises a new twist in the game. The ultimate winner of the experiment receives a $50,000 cash prize.
