Jennifer Hudson Will Sing The National Anthem Tonight At The Democratic Convention

Senator Barak Obama has asked former American Idol contestant, Jennifer Hudson to perform the National Anthem at the Democratic Convention in Denver when he accepts the Party’s nomination tonight.
Jennifer Hudson is best known for her role as Effie White in the 2006 film, “Dreamgirls” alongside Eddie Murphy, Jamie Foxx and Beyonce Knowles. The role garnered Hudson an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress among other accolades.
On September 30th Jennifer will release her self-titled debut album, “Jennifer Hudson.” Following that her new film will be released, “The Secret Life Of Bees,” that also stars Queen Latifah, Alicia Keys and Dakota Fanning on October 17th.
