Due to a foot injury, Jennifer Lopez will not be the guest judge on Project Runway’s season finale. Heidi Klum informed the crowd today, just minutes before the finalists show got underway at Bryant Park.

Heidi also made a comment specifically to Bravo, as the show will be moving to Lifetime network immediately after the finale and the next season will air in January of 2009. She commented,”A great five years at Bravo comes to an end today, thank you so much, you did a beautiful job putting the show on the network,” Heidi has received an Emmy nod for her work on the show.

The special guest judge that will take J.Lo’s place is none other than the show’s mentor, fashion guru Tim Gunn.

“I’m happy to fill in last minute and will be impartial and unbiased to the designers,” he said.

With Jennifer’s foot injury, it will be interesting to see how it affects her ability to run in the triathlon that she is set to do this weekend.

Project Runway’s fifth-season finale is currently scheduled to air on Wednesday, October 15 at 9 PM ET on Bravo.

Jennifer gained forty-eight pounds during her pregnancy. In order to get back in shape after giving birth, J Lo followed a workout program with the famous instructor Gunna Peterson for almost thirty minutes per day, three times per week.
