Big Brother 10 premiered way back on July 13 with thirteen houseguests. Now, two months later, there are only two houseguests remaining. Last week, seventy-five year old marketing executive Jerry MacDonald became the eleventh houseguest evicted. Jerry had an amazing run on Big Brother, having been put on the block four times.
The final two houseguests are Dan Gheesing of Dearborn, Michigan and Memphis Garrett of Collierville, Tennessee. Memphis currently resides in Los Angeles, California. Dan and Memphis became good friends in the house and formed a secret alliance known as “The Renegades.” That they both made it to the final two is remarkable considering that in the early stages of the game, they both seemed destined for early eviction. In the first luxury competition, Memphis won a car, which made him an early target. Meanwhile, Dan stayed true to an allian with Brian Hart, who became the first houseguest evicted from the game.
The decision of whether Dan or Memphis will ultimately win Big Brother 10 lies in the hands of a seven member jury consisting of former houseguests. The jury members are Jerry, Libra, April, Michelle, Ollie, Renny and Keesha. Both Dan and Memphis have made some enemies on the jury through their eviction choices. It could turn out to be a very close vote, and a single vote might make the difference.
The winner of Big Brother 10 will receive a cash prize of $500,000. The Big Brother 10 season live finale airs on Tuesday, September 16 from 9 PM to 10 PM ET on CBS.
