America’s Got Talent gets ready for the final show of the season by sending the final five acts to be cut before the final show home tonight giving America the final say as to who the next Headliner will be in Las Vegas starting on October 17th on this year that AGT’s own Jerry Springer will host in Vegas.
After last night’s show, it was painfully clear for a few of the acts that their time has come to an end on the AGT stage; for a few more, America will be voting in the finals for them and then we have those in the middle that America will be deciding on tonight who will find themselves in the final show next Wednesday on NBC and had better be prepared to leave it all on stage if they expect to win this year’s crown.
Jerry promised some major shocks before the night was out, gave a shout-out to the judges and gave us a quick rundown of the performances from last evening before getting to the results.
Jerry called Nuttin but Stingz and the Wright Kids forward to announce the first act going to the finals. America voted and Nuttin but Stringz was given their shot at the million dollar prize, sending the kids home.
The second spot was to be determined between Joseph Hall and Queen Emily, a tough call but America got it right and decided to give the Elvis wannabe a chance to hone his act a bit by sending Queen Emily to the finals.
A break in the suspense was at hand as Jerry introduced singer Natasha Benefield, who sang her hit song, “Angel.” It was probably good because you could see that the tension was already taking its toll on the contestants.
With nothing left but a pesky commercial to find out who we would all be voting for in the final show, we had three spots left to fill and Jerry called forth Kaitlyn Maher and Neal E. Boyd to see who America had chosen to go forth. Neal E. Boyd finally took out the five year old, as expected, and Jerry comforted the tyke as he sent her on her way.
Jerry called forth Paul Salos and Donald Braswell, two popular acts that thrilled the competition week-after-week, forth and America gave Donald Braswell their vote one more time.
The final two acts to be called forth were Jessica Price and Eli Mattson and it is a real toss-up as to who would be picked by America to go forth. As Jerry fanned the tension in the room, he finally announced that the perky blond had finished her run and that Eli was headed to the finals.
Next Wednesday at 9:00 PM will be the final show as America will choose who will be this year’s winner of America’s Got Talent.
