In less than one week from now, Dancing With The Stars will premiere and Chef Rocco DiSpirito wants to be the king of the dance floor. He talked about his dancing partner to ET and showedthem a few of his new moves.
“They told me Karina Smirnoff would be teaching me how to dance,” Rocco proudly told ET about his dancing coach. “I figure if you learn how to paint from Da Vinci, physics from Einstein — you take it, right?”
Pro dancer Karina said that he is doing an amazing job and is very motivated and determined. She also commented on how much they laugh together, which is about seventy percent of the time.
The pair will begin the show next week by doing a Fox trot and a Mambo. Rocco told ET, “The Fox trot is all about form and elegance and fluidity and it’s sort of rigid and formal, wheras the Mambo is like spicy curry, where every bite is a new surprise.”
He complained about his muscles being in pain and said that he can already feel them begin to tone and haslost weight.
Karina joked that she will be the only person on the show that actually gains weight as Rocco’s is continuosly cooking for her while they practice. His mother joined them during one oftheir practices with a big bowl of spagetti and homemade meatballs.
