The American Idol Tour has come to an end and David Archuletta, season seven runner up is singing the blues. He took time out from working on his new album to write down his feelingson his MySpace celebrity blog.
“I’m here in Tulsa for the last day of the tour and it’s pretty sad but exciting at the same time. I don’t think it’s really hit all of us that it’s the end of the whole American Idol experience together. It’s been an AMAZING year,” the singer, 17, wrote.
“I can’t wait to see the different directions everyone’s careers go now, and I’ve become a big fan of all the other guys,” he says.
Being out on tour with everyone has made David a fan of the fans themselves and he commented, “I’ll miss seeing all the different shirts and signs for everyone. The “Dreadheads”, admirers of dreadlocked Jason Castro, “make some of the funniest, most unique things.”
David wrote that the tour was, “one of the greatest times in my life” and the very best surprise that he receivedoccurred on the last stop of the tour; his grandmother visited him and he said that she had an awesome time!
David released his first single, “Crush,” in August, and is currently working on his upcoming debut album which is to be released this November. He says, “Writing is just so much fun.”
