Amazing Race 13 Premieres Tonight

The Amazing Race is back for a thirteenth season with eleven brand new teams. The new season of the Amazing Race will begin with the eleven teams departing from Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Then, the teams will travel to their first location, which Salvador, Brazil. In Brazil, the teams will face what is being described as a “harrowing detour.”
Amazing Race 13 is being billed as a season of firsts. Some of the travel firsts will include teams visiting a floating city, Cambodia, and Kazakhstan. In one of the most surprising race moments ever, a team will also make an unprecedented mistake on the road. This mistake will prohibit the team from joining their fellow Racers at the finish line.
The cast includes beekeepers, comic book aficionados, a former NFL player, and a former NFL cheerleader. For photos of and background information on all eleven teams, check out our Amazing Race 13 cast bios.
Phil Keoghan once again returns as host of the series that has won five consecutive Emmy Awards for Outstanding Reality Competition Program. The premiere episode is entitled “Bees are Much Calmer than All This!” and airs on Sunday, September 28 from 8 PM to 9 PM ET/PT on CBS.
