The SCI FI Channel is launching a new reality competition series called Estate of Panic, and the network has tapped a veteran actor to host the series. Steve Valentine, who played Dr. Nigel Townsend on Crossing Jordan, has been selected to host the show. Steve Valentine has also appeared on Just Shoot Me, Chuck, Will & Grace, Dharma and Greg, Boston Legal, JAG and Charmed.
Estate Of Panic just started production this past week, and the series is being produced byt Endemol USA, which was the production company behind Fear Factor. Estate of Panic has been picked up for a total of six one hour episodes. The first episode is set to premiere on Wednesday, November 12 at 10 PM ET/PT.
In every episode of Estate of Panic, seven strangers are challenged to find large quantities of cash that have been hidden in a massive estate. Of course things are not always as easy as they seem, and the seven strangers will have to overcome several terrors on the estate. After every three challenges, two people get eliminated from the competition and they lose their winnings to the prize pot. The last person left in the game has to take on a final challenge in the Vault Room in order to determine their final winnings.
