Dan Evans was young, charismatic and a go getter on season five of NBC’s The Biggest Loser and now he is hoping that these same qualities will translate into success with his music career. This past Tuesday he released his first country album, Goin’ All Out, which is available in retail stores, online and on his website.
Dan lost a total of 136 lbs on the realityTV show and he told PEOPLE, “A lot of my transformation on The Biggest Loser was a mental and emotional transformation.” He also said, “Music has always been my passion but I was always uncomfortable with myself. I was so uncomfortable inside my own skin that I was afraid of exposing myself emotionally. But now it’s time for me to go for this.”
Dan’s music has the same contemporary country edge as his inspirations, Keith Urban and Rascal Flatts andhe commented about the possibilityof meeting the two stars, “Not only am I in the country music realm, I am a country music fan, “If I get to meet Keith Urban, all of my professionalism will go out the window!”
Dan has been keeping his promise to himself tostay in shape. “My goal I have is to stay fit,” he says. “I’m not going back to the way I’ve been. I still go to the gym a couple days a week. My mom is fit, too, so the Orange Team is staying strong. [The show] was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life but it was the most fun thing I’ve done in my life.”
