Mike Rowe Becomes A Dirty Chip Maker
October 14, 2008 09:00 AM by Joe Reality
Last week, the fourth season of Dirty Jobs premiered with Mike Rowe working as a tar rigger. This week, Mike Rowe travels to Oxnard, California to work at the Dirty Potato Chips company, which is a small-volume, independent chip maker.
While making potato chips might not seem like a dirty job, Mike will learn what it really takes to keep all the machines clean and in working order. Mike also travels to Rifle, Colorado to try his hand at working at the town’s waste water facility.
Mike learns more about waste management than he ever desired to know. He also gets an opportunity to clear the “Muffin Monster,” which is a machine that separates solid waste matter from the liquids.
The Dirty Chip Maker episode of Dirty Jobs airs on Tuesday, October 14 at 9 PM ET on the Discovery Channel.
