Dancing With The Stars: Cloris Is Sittin’ Pretty

October 28, 2008 07:15 PM by Paulene Hinds

After tallying the judges’ and viewers’ votes, the seventh couple to be eliminated from the competition was revealed on “Dancing with the Stars the Results Show.” The six time Grammy winner Missy Elliot performed with the Pussycat Dolls, Michael Flatley burned the floor and the third set of Ballroom kids danced.

The judges choice dance this week was the “Old Skool Hip Hop” and I am afraid to tell you…it was just as terrible as it was last night!

This week at the bottom of the leader board was Cloris and Corky 15
Maurice and Cheryl 21

Cody and Julianne and Susan and Tony 23
Warren and Kym 25
Brooke and Derek 26
At the top of the leader board are Lance and Lacey 27

Hosts, Tom and Samantha let the first two couples of the hook. They were Lance and Lacey and Cody (all by himself as Julianne was in the hospital). Tom joked that one and a half couples were safe!

For the third week in a row, the kids shook and shimmied their way into America’s hearts in the live ballroom dancing competition.

The first couple for the kids dance were Samantha and Craig dancing a Cha Cha Cha. Michael said that they were sensational and that their parents must be so proud of them. Bruno said that it was an incredible performance. Carrie Ann said that they were like poetry in motion.

Their competition were Lucy and Simon dancing a Samba. Carrie Ann thought that they lit up the dance floor with their charisma. Michael said that they should follow their dreams. Bruno said that they looked like they were having fun.

Tonight the winner of the ballroom kids was Craig and Samantha. That team will return later in the season for another performance.

Next, the Pussycat Dolls teamed up with Missy Elliott in a special performance of their second single, “Whatcha Think About That,” off of the Pussycat Dolls’ sophomore album, “Doll Domination.” Six-time Grammy Award winner Missy Elliott is the best selling female hip hop artist of all time. She is currently putting the finishing touches on her 7th studio album, which will be released in 2009.

Samantha spoke with Cody and he told her that Julianne was resting at home after a successful surgery. He will dance with Edyta next week!

Tom joked thatJulianne had just completed the bicycle portion of the triathalon…joking as she is to return next week after having her appendix out.

Tom then revealed the next couple that was safe. It was Warren and Kym.

Finally, special guest judge and world famous choreographer and dancer Michael Flatley took to the stage in a special performance entitled “Capone,” from his current Irish dance show, “Celtic Tiger.” Flatley, credited in the Guiness Book of World Records for having the “fastest feet on earth,” has created and performed in some of the most popular dance performances of all time, including “Riverdance” and “Lord of the Dance.” His shows have been enjoyed by more than 50 million people in 60 different countries on every continent. He has sold out stadiums around the world, including a record four consecutive weeks at the London Coliseum, and has sold more than 10 million CDs and DVDs.

The next couples safe this weekwere Brooke and Derek and Maurice and Cheryl.

This week Susan and Tony and Cloris and Corky were in jeopardy.

The couple going home this week is Cloris and Corky, but don’t expect her to leave…she will be sittin’ pretty in the audience next week…who knows what we can expect!

Next week the dancers will perform two dances.
