Dirty Jobs Looks At Presidents’ Dirty Pasts

Dirty Jobs Presidents\' Special

While the major networks will be devoted to Presidential election coverage tonight, there will still be some reality TV on cable.  In honor of election day, Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe will air a special Dirty Presidents episode.  Rowe will pay tribute to the dirtiest of the U.S. Presidents.

In the special, Rowe will compare his experiences on Dirty Jobs with some of the pastimes of former Presidents.  For example, James Polk hosted the first ever White House Thanksgiving turkey dinner, which Rowe will compare to his “turkey insemination” experience.  Another example is that Harry S. Truman worked on his family farm, which Rowe will compare to his “pig shaver” experience.  Truman even said, “No man should be allowed to be President who doesn’t understand hogs.”

Some of the other Dirty Jobs episodes that Rowe compares to former Presidents’ dirty pasts include Rodent Control, BBQ Smoking, Salt Mining, and Alligator Egg Collecting.  Dirty Jobs airs on Tuesday, November 4 from 9 PM to 10PM ET/PT on the Discovery Channel.
