Tonight on Dancing With The Stars, the results show, the eighth couple was eliminated and Academy Award and Grammy Award Winning Artist Lionel Richie Performed. In a special Macy’s Stars of Dance performance, Dave Scott Choreographer was in charge andgave a spectacular magical performance and Dance Center was back with another hilarious segment, starring Season Two competitors Kenny Mayne and Jerry Rice, with head judge Len Goodman.
The judges chose Team Pasa doble as their choice to see again tonight. The dance teamwas just as hot as they were last night.
Samantha talked with the teams from Monday night’s dances. She spoke to Susan who was the team captain for team Cha Cha and also Warren who was the team captain for team Pasadoble.
Special guest legendary singer Lionel Richie took to the stage and performed his hit, “Dancing on the Ceiling,” accompanied by professional dancers Cheryl Burke, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Kym Johnson and Tony Dovolani, as well as his first single, “Good Morning,” from his new album “Just Go,” coming out February 17, 2009 on Island Records. This is Richie’s first studio album in two years. “Good Morning” was danced to by professional dancers Edyta Sliwinska and Alec Mazo.
Hosts, Samantha and Tom then reviewed the leader board from Monday night.
Cody and Edyta came in sixth with 42 out of 60.
Susan and Tony earned 44
Lance and Lacey had 45
Warren and Kym had 50
Maurice and Cheryl were given 54
Brooke and Derek reclaimed first place with 59 out of 60.
The hosts then revealed, the first couple that was saved tonight was Maurice and Cheryl.
Dance Center was back tonight withanother hilarious segment, starring Season Two competitors Kenny Mayne and Jerry Rice, with head judge Len Goodman. They went through each of the stars, showing Warren’s habit of winking, Susan being so light that she gets blown away by the air conditioning and Maurice throwing kisses at the judges.
The Macy’s Stars of Dance routine was next and Dave Scott gave a very impressive magical Hip Hop performance with his team of dancers.
Back to Dance Center and this time they were checking out Lance, saying that Lance and Lacey are starting to even look alike. Next up was Brooke and they said that she is consistenly fanstastic and maybe from Mars. Cody was said to be looking like 12, but acting like he is 5 years old and his attribute is his pronounced eyebrows.
Next Tom and Samantha revealed the next two couples safe and they were Brooke and Derek and Warren and Kym. Three couples from team Cha Cha were left hanging in jeopardy.
The stars then spoke about what came easy tothem and what didn’t. They needed to capitalize on their strengths and work through their weaknesses in order to win this competition.
The couples remaining were Cody and Edyta, Susan and Tony and Lance and Lacey.
Lance and Lacey and Cody and Edytawere safe and this week Susan and Tony were going home.
Susan said that she had the most incredible experience and she feels so much gratitude. She thanked the audience, her fans and especially Tony.
Next week, the stars face a new challenge, first they perform a Ballroom round and then a Latin round. This will be the first time the dancers will be required to perform a solo.
