Kelly Clarkson May Be Releasing A New Single

November 21, 2008 01:00 PM by Paulene Hinds

Rumours are flying that American Idol champion, Kelly Clarkson is about to release a song that could be the first single off her upcoming album. Her producer talked with Entertainment Weekly about what we can expect from Kelly this time around.

Clarkson is prepping a new single with the catchy-titled “My Life Would Suck Without You,” which could take the singer back to her pop roots missed in her controversial, harder-edged third album, My December.

Kelly’s producer Dr. Luke tells Entertainment Weekly that the song, “My Life Would Suck Without You,” is free of “country twang,” and could get released as early as December.

Dr. Luke adds that the “Idol” champ has been a knockout during studio recording sessions: “It’s sick. She sings a song in two hours and kills it,” he tells the mag. “She has powerful lungs. She’s like the Lance Armstrong of vocal chords.”

A spokesperson for Clarkson’s label told MTV News there was no comment on the album at this time, but according to EW.com, a rep for the singer said a single has not yet been chosen.
