Kathy Griffin To Appear On Rosie Live

Kathy Griffin of Bravo’s My Life On The D-List will be appearing on NBC’s variety special Rosie Live. On Rosie Live, Rosie O’Donnell is attempting to revive the grand tradition of the variety show format to television.
Rosie Live is modeled after such classic series as The Carol Burnett Show and The Ed Sullivan Show, but the show will also include brand new elements in an attempt to appeal to the new generation of television viewers. Rosie Live will include a topical monologue, musical production numbers and comedy sketches.
In addition to Kathy Griffin, other celebrities set to appear on Rosie Live include Jane Krakowski of NBC’s 30 Rock, Ne-Yo and Alanis Morissette. Rosie Live airs on Wednesday, November 26 from 8 PM to 9 PM ET on NBC, live from New York’s Little Shubert Theatre.

Welp, Rosie isn’t the only one trying to revive this genre. Aren’t the Osbournes coming back into the TV biz with their variety show? Sharon mentioned something about it on Chelsea Lately.
I think they should just stick to Reality TV, though… but we’ll see.
