Dancing With The Stars pro dancerand country singer, Julianne Hough wants to clear the air…she is not rushing to the altar! Julianne spoke to PEOPLE last week and after reading all of the hype about “definately wanting to go there” in response to a question about marriage to her beau Chuck Wicks, she took to her website to talk to her fans about the mix up.
“First of all, sorry to disappoint, but we are not engaged. We are dating and enjoying this stage in our relationship. We’re not in any rush. They twisted my words in that article and its gotten to be a much bigger deal than it should be.”
Hough invited Wicks to Thanksgiving dinner this year, sparking speculation of a walk down the aisle for the pair when Wicks told PEOPLE at the time “that was big for him” and that Hough’s family is “the best family” he’s ever met. Hough also fueled the flames when she commented that Wicks is “definitely part of the family” now and added, “He’s as big of a dork as we are.”
After clarifying the situation to all of her fans, Hough ended her website blog with, “You can always get the most up to date and ACCURATE info here on my site. Thank you for all of your support and well wishes!”
That being said though, her website may not be the best place to getACCURATE information. Hough has been caught confused a few times in the past weeks and it has been difficult to read between the lines with what she says and what she really means. At the end of season 7 of Dancing With The Stars she wrote on her website, “I won’t be on Dancing this spring season. I don’t know about the fall. Maybe, maybe not. We’ll see.”
A few days later she retracted her comments and said that she may have “put her foot in her mouth” and wasn’t sure if she would return season 8. She said that she will definately take one season off though, in the spring or the fall to focus on her music for sure.
Maybe thinking before speaking or writing something would be the best advice given to Hough right now.
