American Idol: Coldplay Wants Simon Cowell To Criticize Their Performance

December 24, 2008 11:00 AM by Paulene Hinds

Members of the band Coldplay are trying to persuade media mogul and sharp tongued American Idol judge, Simon Cowell to make a guest appearance on their tour and they actually hope that he will criticize their performance. The band members are huge fans of the American Idol judge and love his mocking remarks.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin is hoping to convince Simon Cowell to record a video segment for their upcoming concerts.

“I’ve never met Simon, but I keep wanting him to do a bit in our concert next year. At the end of one song I want him to come on screen and say, ‘That was absolutely terrible’. I think he’d be up for it. But now I’ve given away a surprise,” Chris Martin, told Contactmusic.

Chris Martin has also cleared up the rumorabout his band splitting up…it definately isn’t, the band already has plans for their next album and hope to work again with the production team of Brian Eno and Markus Dravs.
