American Idol: Simon Cowell Admits To Whispering In Paula Abdul’s Ear

American Idol judge, Simon Cowell recently spoke to TV Guide and admitted the allegations Paula Abdul has made about him are true! She accused him of whispering in her ear right before American Idol’s live show comes back from commercial in orderto disorient her and make her appear crazy.

“I’ve done it from day one. That’s part of the relationship I’ve had with Paula [and] I’ve looked upon it in a kind of a fun way,” Simon Cowell said. “It’s never done with any maliciousness.”

Simon Cowell also said that he thought that Paula Abdul didn’t mean to sound so distraught and dramatic in her Barbara Walters interview a few weeks ago when she said Simon upsets her. During the interview, she also accused American Idol producers of putting her in danger by allowing Paula Goodspeed to audition on the show after she asked them not to in January 2006. Paula Goodspeed wasthestalking fan who was found dead outside of Paula Abdul’s home.

Simon Cowell said that Paula Abdul’s comments were not, “as barbed as they may have appeared” and “she’s never really had an issue with me about it. If I thought I’ve gone too far I’ve apologized. And if she said to me, ‘I don’t want you to do it again,’ I wouldn’t do it.”
