American Idol: Jordin Sparks To Perform At Two Superbowl Fundraisers

Season six, American Idol winner, Jordin Sparks will be in Tampa on January 27 and 28 for two fundraising events to raise money for charity. The Grammy award nominee will co-host an Up Close and Personal event with chef Roy Yamaguchi, at Roy’s Tampa restaurant on January 27. The event will feature food, drink, music, an auction and a meet-and-greet session including an acoustic performance with Jordin Sparks singing and chef Roy Yamaguchi playing the drums. On January 28, Jordin Sparks will perform in concert at Grace Family Church, in Lutz. All proceeds from the two day event go to Sparks’ Charities which is based in Tampa and run by Jordin Sparks’ godmother, Christa Watson.

The Sparks’ Charities include Uplift Excellence Foundation and 1voice and proceeds from the events will go toward the World Children’s Center, an Atlanta-based charity that is trying to help homeless children. Christa Watson, who works with the Tampa Chamber of Commerce Committee of 100 said, “This is the second year that Jordin has performed during the Super Bowl week and we plan to make it an annual event.”

Among the items being auctioned are two tickets to the Grammy Awards in February and tickets to Disney World’s new America Idol Experience attraction that opens February 14 in Disney Hollywood Studios in Orlando. The best auction item available is a dinner party for 12 that Jordin Sparks and Roy Yamaguchi will host. Admission is $250 and the event begins at 7:30 PM.

A $400 VIP admission includes a chance to spend time with Jordin Sparks and Roy Yamaguchi. Christa Watson says there are only 400 tickets available for this event. Tickets for the January 28 concert are $35 and $45. For more information and to buy tickets: CLICK HERE!

Jordin Sparksis performing today at one of the inaugural parties in Washington, D.C. and this past Sunday she sang the National Anthem at the NFC championship game between the Cardinals and Philadelphia Eagles.
