The Dallas Cowboys Meet Reality TV

Former Dallas Cowboy footballstar, Michael Irvin will host a new reality TVshow in which one lucky contestant will get a spot on the Cowboys’ training camp roster. Michael Irvin said that he got the idea for the show from watching American Idol. Michael Irvin will serve as executive director for the yet untitled show and said that this is a dream come true for him.

“I’ve been waiting to do this since the first time I watched American Idol,” he said. ” American Idol is about singing and dreams. This is about football and dreams.”

Michael Irvin is working with 3 Ball Productions, the reality television company that produces NBC’s The Biggest Loser.

The show which will air on Spike TV this spring andwill feature 12 contestants evenly divided between receivers and defensive backs. Michael Irvin thinks that this show is going to be a big hit, with many young men vying for a chance to go to the Cowboys’ training camp.

“What young man do you know that’s not going to read [about this show], then head straight to the gym and say, ‘I’m going to get ready?’ ” Michael Irvin asked.

The Judges are expected to include Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who gave his blessing to the project and former NFL players and coaches.

“Nobody believes more in dreams than Jerry Jones,” Michael Irvin said.
