Fox has announced that American Idol Extra will return for its fourth season with new host Jillian Reynolds from Fox NFL Sunday and Good Day LA and new co-host Ace Young from season 5 of American Idol. The show will feature the first exclusive sit-down interviews with the Top 10 American Idol finalists, mere moments after the finalists are eliminated.
Fox Reality Channel will get up close and personal directly from the Idol stage to bring viewers the reality moments they can’t get anywhere else. Jillian Reynolds will be conducting bold weekly interviews and Ace Young will provide a fresh new perspective by using his expertise and empathy to get the inside scoop. Also, former season four American Idol contestant Constantine Maroulis, will be returning in his usual role as special field correspondent.
This year, American Idol Extra will be going backstage to show the viewers all of the excitement and tension interviewing the judges, producers, vocal coaches and stylists who will give first hand accounts of what it takes to get America’s most popular TV show on-air each week.

The fourth season of American Idol Extra will begin on Thursday, March 26 at 10 PM ET and will airon Thursdays at 7 and10 PMET with encore performances leading up to the finale.
