American Idol: Kimberly Caldwell Loses 20 Pounds
February 04, 2009 11:00 AM by Paulene Hinds

Former American Idol contestant and ex-girlfriend of American Idol winner David Cook, Kimberly Caldwell, has just shed 20 pounds from her petite frame. “I’ve always been confident and secure,” Kimberly Caldwell told Life and Times adding, “Now it’s a different kind of secure.”
Kimberly Caldwell said that she lost the weight because she has come to a point in her life where she has changed from being a kid to an adult and stated, “Okay, I’m a home owner, I take care of my little sister who lives with me, I have five jobs, and I’m sitting around being lazy on my time off. Why?”
With the help of NBC wellness trainer, Carly Marino, she has been able to maintain the weightloss and says that losing the weight was all about tricking her mindinto thinking it is full. She said, “I learned to have a full glass of water before I sit down to a meal and to eat the veggies before I eat everything else.”
