America’s Got Talent: Jerry Springer Leaving As Host

Yesterday, Reality TV Magazine brought you the casting call for this season’s America’s Got Talent show on NBC. It appears that the show is not only looking for contestants for season 4, but will also need a host as Jerry Springer is not returning next season?

Jerry Springer himself has confirmed that he will not return to his hosting role on the NBC talent show this summer due to other commitments, including his syndicated talk show and a new stage role which he didn’t elaborate on.

Jerry Springeris best known as the crazy talk show host, whodoesn’t leavea stone or chair unturned for that matter. In 2006, he took part in ABC’s Dancing With the Stars and won viewer’s hearts for his whimsicle, comical side. He became the host of America’s Got Talent the following summer in 2007, replacing Regis Philbin, who hosted the first season. Jerry Springersaid that his role on America’s Got Talent, had been “an amazing ride”.

So far it hasn’t been announced who will replace Jerry Springeron the upcoming fourth season of the show.
