February 12, 2009 08:27 AM by Paulene Hinds

Last night on American Idol, we saw Joanna Pacitti advance into the top 36, but not before being questioned by Kara Dioguardi on how many trys will she need before she makes it in the business and Simon Cowell angrily harping back, that she will make it when someone gives her a break. It looks like she isn’t getting a break afterall, she has been kicked out of the competition and replaced by Felcia Barton.

A Fox press release which announced theAmerican Idol top 36 list of semifinalists this morningstated, “It has been determined that Joanna Pacitti is ineligible to continue in the competition.”

Her ineligibility comes from the past few weeks of internet reports that Joanna Pacitti should not be allowed in the American Idolcompetition because she not only had a former A&M record deal, but she also lived in the same building at one time with 19 Entertainment’s Michelle Young and Roger Widynowski, referring to the former executive as her best friend. 19 Entertainment is the production company behind American Idol.
