Bravo has just announced the judges and hosts of their upcoming design show, The Fashion Show. Internationally acclaimed designer Isaac Mizrahi will share hosting duties with four-time Grammy Award-winning performer and actress Kelly Rowland. Isaac Mizrahi and Kelly Rowland will also serve as judges alongside fashion luminary and Senior Vice President of IMG Fashion, Fern Mallis.
The Fashion Show follows professional designers as they strive to make their mark in the dog-eat-dog world of fashion and compete for a chance to have their designs sold for the mass retail market. The designers will face off in challenges and have their fate determined not only by the professional judges, but also by a studio audience. In the end, the winner will have their designs available for sale by a major retail outlet.
Judge and co-host Isaac Mizrahi is the Creative Director for the Liz Claiborne brand, where he oversees design and marketing for the women’s apparel and accessories line. As a leader in the design business for almost twenty years, Isaac Mizrahi has been awarded four CFDA awards, including a special award in 1996 for the groundbreaking documentary “Unzipped.” His women’s collection is available both domestically and internationally and can be seen in fashion magazines around the globe and his menswear collection expanded its distribution in fall 2008.
Judge and co-host Kelly Rowland is a best-selling Grammy-winning solo artist and a founding member of Destiny’s Child, the top-selling female recording group of all-time. Kelly Rowland has appeared in a number of television and film projects including the features “Freddy vs. Jason,” and “The Seat Filler,” executive produced by Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, and the television series “The Hughleys” and “American Dreams.” She also served as a choir leader on NBC’s creative competition series “Clash of the Choirs.”
Series judge, Fern Mallis is the Senior Vice President of IMG Fashion. She is widely credited as the creator of New York “Fashion Week” organized in 1993, under the auspices of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), where she served as Executive Director for 10 years. 7th on Sixth, as it was originally named, was created to organize, centralize and modernize the runway collections. 7th on Sixth was acquired by IMG in July 2001 and isnow called IMG Fashion. The company under Fern Mallis’ leadership currently produces Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Miami Swim. In addition to overseeing IMG Fashion’s U.S. events, Fern Mallis is actively involved in the growing portfolio of events around the world, including fashion weeks in Mumbai, Moscow, Sydney and Berlin among others.
The Fashion Show will air on Bravo later this year.
