Paula Abdul should have learned to keep her mouth shut 9months ago when she started making cracks at the American Idol producers and the way things were being ran. It has long been suspected that Kara DioGuardi’s addition to the judging panel on American Idol is more to pave the way for Paula Abdul’s exit when her contract is up this season, and after recent comments that seems more and more likely to be true.
From what we read it isn’t that Paula Abdul doesn’t like Kara DioGuardi. From all reports they have been friends for years and get along great. However, Paula thinks that four judges is one too many and that there just may not be enough room for two females on the panel. According to the popular singer, songwriter, dancer and judge, “We tried four judges before and it doesn’t work.” Paula Abdul seems to think that having to take time for a 4th person to talk interrupts the flow of the show.
Paula Abdul also reportedly said that she still does not know if she will renew her contract at the end of the season saying that there are a lot of things she wants to do and that there are only so many hours in the day to get them done in. We have to wonder if the the people that run things behind the scenes at American Idol will offer to let her renew her contract. After all the smack Paula Abdul has talked we wouldn’t be surprised if they booted her to the curb come May.
