We reported yesterday that Paula Abdul is not making or keeping any lasting friendships with her behavior and comments regarding the addition of one female judge that she claims to be friends with. Kara DioGuardi has now taken a page from Paula Abdul’s book and has snapped back and her “friends” remarks. Maybe there hasn’t been enough controversy yet on American Idol this season so the judges have decided to create some.
Kara DioGuarditold Access Hollywood, “Paula has a right to her opinions, but I was disappointed by her comments, and hurt that she did not address them to me in person.” So how does she really feel?
You wouldn’t have known that there was any conflict behind the scenes at the judges table during last nights American Idol results show.Besides of course the bantering that goes back and forth with Simon Cowell and the rest of the judges. Kara DioGuardiand Paula Abdulboth played it cool, laughed, talked, and gave advice. At one point Simon Cowell did try to shut Kara up and she made a comment about doing the job that she was put there to do. I did get a glimpse of the cat claws then.
In the end Kara DioGuardiis happy to be a member of the American Idoljudges panel, no matter what Paula Abdul has to say. She also told Access Hollywood that, “I am proud of my contributions to the show, and remain excited about the rest of the season.”
In her defense a representative for Paula Abdulreleased a statement saying, “Paula’s quote was taken out of context. She was referring to previous ‘guest judges’ from past seasons. Not Kara.” We don’t know about that…it seemed pretty clear to us. What do you think?
