Amazing Race 14: Teams Strip Down In Russia

Tonight onCBS‘s Amazing Race, teams will leave Siberia, only to travel to another freezing cold Russian city, where they will be forced to strip down to their underwear and run a marathon. Suspicions grow quite strong as many teams realize Tammy and Victor aren’t playing very nice. Find out the details and if Margie and Luke are able to continue their lucky streak…
Christie and Jodi are the first to depart on this leg of the amazing race to another (unpronounceable) city in Russia via Trans-Siberian train. Close behind are Kesha and Jen, and the teams must travel by foot. Eventually, most of the other teams are able catch up before the train departs. While on the train, Mel and Mike realize that Margie and Luke were the ones to sabotoge Amanda and Kris and they’ve realized they are a team to reckon with. When the teams arrive in Russia, they must take a cab to the location of their next clue. Cara and Jamie are the first to reach the detour.
DETOUR: Teams must choose between Russian Bride or Russian Snowplow. In Russian Bride, teams must choose a car and find an apartment where they will pick up a bride and bring her to a church and get her picture taken. In Russian Snowplow, teams must drive to a stadium and operate a snowplow through a training course.
Almost all of the teams are lost and stopping for directions to the detour. Tammy and Victor were sort of working with Margie and Luke. However, when they both pulled over, Victor got directions and took off before they could follow him. Now Margie and Luke are ready to play dirty. Mel and Mike are the first to arrive at the apartment to pick up their Russian Bride. Tammy and Victor, Cara and Jamie, and Margie and Luke all opted to do the snowplow detour.
Cara and Jamie are having some trouble communicating with the locals and can’t figure out which vehicles are the snowplows. (really?) Victor is already almost through the task, but when Tammy gets her turn it’s a different story. Kesha and Jen and Chrisie and Jodi are well on their ways with their brides, however, Christie and Jodi get lost and take their bride to the wrong church. Margie and Luke and Cara and Jamie are the first teams to reach the road block.
ROAD BLOCK: One team member must participate in a winter marathon running 1.4 miles in their underwear.
So far Tammy, Luke, and Cara have opted to run naked in the freezing cold weather. When Mel and Mike get to the road block, luckily they choose Mike this time instead of 68 year old Mel! Meanwhile, Christie and Jodie and Kesha and Jen finally locate the church and complete the detour.
Cara and Jamie are also starting to have doubts about Tammy and Victor when they notice they will do anything to get ahead. Luke is the first one to cross the finish line and he and his mother go upstairs to the theater, where they are the first to reach the pit stop. They win a trip to St. Lucia. The next team to arrive is Tammy and Victor, followed closely by Jamie and Cara.
Back at the underwear race, Mark is having a hard time running because he is wearing army boots. Christie and Jodi and Kesha and Jen are both lost in their cabs on the way to the road block. Kesha is also having a hard time with the stick shift and driving it in the snow. Eventually, Mark crosses the finish line and he and Mel are the fourth team to reach the pit stop. Following closely after are Mark and Mike.
Kesha and Jen and Christie and Jodi finally make it to the road block. Jen has to change into some underwear because she wasn’t wearing any and Christi was wearing a thong, which she had to keep on! It’s down to a footrace and Kesha and Jen are the first team to arrive, making Jodi and Christie the last team. However, they were not eliminated and will have a speed bump to complete before their next leg of the amazing race.
The Amazing Race 14 airs Sundays at 8 PM ETon CBS.
