Biggest Loser: Dane Patterson Runs For Public Redemption

The Biggest Loser contestant Dane Patterson, who recently was involved in a controversy when NBC showed him crossing the finish line in a marathon during his makeover moment, when in fact a field producer had picked him up and drove him to the end of the race. Dane Patterson continued to enrage viewers when he refused to return the medal he was given for running the race, saying that he had earned it because he returned to the race site later that day and completed the race on his own. Now The Biggest Loser season 7 contestant is hoping for a chance at redemption and will run again in the Country Music Marathon.

The race is not only good news for Dane Patterson, organizers for the race have grabbed onto this opportunity to promote their race which will take place on April 25, in Nashville.

In a press release for the Country Music marathon they stated that Dane Patterson hopes running the marathon will be a personal milestone and public redemption to prove he can complete the full race. He is welcoming runners to sign up to “Run with Dane” as he challenges himself to the 26.2 mile course on Saturday, April 25th in Nashville,Tennesse. Dane Patterson, who is 27, had planned on running another marathon in April to show that he can complete a race. “I am thrilled to have this opportunity and encourage others runners to come out and join me on the course,” says Dane Patterson.
