“I’m going to go back home and spend some time with my family first. And then I’m going to get to work and start talking about recording some music and trying to get it out there and just continue singing,” Alexis Grace said.
When asked about choosing the country song, Jolene this pastweek on American Idol, she said, “I probably would have chosen a different song if I could.” It failed to show the power of earlier songs like “Never Let Them In.”
Alexis Grace even suggestedwhat song choiceshe should have chosen to sing for the judges during Grand Ole Opry week on American Idol, “I probably would have done better with ‘Never Loved a Man,’ the first one that I sang,” she said. “Just because it’s more my element and soul and that’s what they loved about me.”
Alexis Grace steered clear of a Carrie Underwood song because others were going that route and commented, “There were already two other people who sang Carrie Underwood, so I felt it would be too much Carrie Underwood in one night.”
Alexis Grace was disappointed that the new judges save ruledidn’t help her, but she understands why the judges didn’t use it saying, “it is really early in the game and it wouldn’t be good for TV if they did so early.”
However she said, “I liked the fact that they told me that they were thinking about saving me because they let me know that they actually believe in me and that they think that I can do it.”
