Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak seemed to have nine lives on this season’s Dancing With The Stars, but his lucky streak came to and end during last night’s double elimination show. Although the charming klutz may have had a winning personality, his dancing was dare I say, painfully awkward to watch?
For the past four weeks, Steve and his partner Karina Smirnoff had been at the bottom of the leader board. Making virtually no improvements since week one, the pair earned a pathetic 12 points for their Argentine tango last Monday. Even former girlfriend Kathy Griffin’s resounding support couldn’t possibly have helped his score.
Aside from his lack of coordination, poor Steve also suffered a setback with a torn hamstring last week- not that the lack of injury would have necessarily improved his performance. Unfortunately, Steve did add a dimension of fun and optimism to the show and he will no doubt be missed.
Steve was voted off along with Playboy model Holly Madison in a double elimination show. They were not given the chance for a dance-off this week. His remarks to Tom after learning of his elimination: “Dancing With The Stars is a great show, a great process, a great system and I feel like the luckiest person in the world.” Tom replied sayingthat Steve was what the show was all about – celebrities coming out of their comfort zone to try something new.
Steve, do us a favor. Go back and build us a cool IPhone app or something, okay?
