American Idol: Megan Joy Kisses Idol Goodbye

Well, the country can relax now that they won’t be subjected to the awkward arm movements of Megan Joy. Albeit a charming andgorgeous girl, Megan would win any competition for weirdness or lack of rhythm – hands down. Find out what she had to say after being ousted from American Idol on Wednesday…
In a media conference call on Thursday, Megan told reporters, “I really woke up [on Wednesday] feeling like I was going home no matter what. I felt like I was going home no matter what I did and said.” The fact that Megan anticipated being voted out, probably had something to do with her blunt honestyto Simon Cowell when she said she didn’t careabout his comments.
Then in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Megan was questioned about “the caw” that she made on stage. She remarks, “I’m just a big dork. I’ve always made animal noises all the time. I cawed at the end of Rockin’ Robin. I thought if I go out, I’m gonna go out with a bang.” Apparently, “going out with a bang” has several different interpretations across the world.
The judges didn’t even give Megan a chance to save herself this week by singing. She talks about her last song saying, “Yeah, I was ready to be right in their faces. They have a habit of talking to each other while we sing. That’s so rude.” Then she goes on to say that her and her roommate, Allison, were extremely close and although they were in the bottom two together – she doesn’t think she has anything to worry about.
Finally, the question that has been perplexing us all since we first seteyes on this quirky blonde, what is up with that dancing?!? Megan answers, “I can’t help it. I don’t know why it happens. I would say to people who hate them, ‘Too bad. Close your eyes.’ The producers were constantly like, ‘Practice in the mirror!’ But I don’t like to. I don’t want to plan anything. I won’t sound the same if I’m focusing on my body. So I never took that advice. Maybe I should have.”
Megan plans to stay at home and spend time with her son until the American Idol tour starts.
