Well, sort of. Simon Cowell may be known for his snarky criticism on American Idol, but he isn’t exactly known for his earth-friendly lifestyle. Lately, however, Simon made a rather interesting purchase that might show he is turning a new leaf…
Simon Cowell, who is involved in one way or another with shows such as The X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent and American Idol, is worth an estimated 112 million dollars. Heowns a large variety of luxury and sports cars including a Bugatti Veyron, a Ferrari F430, and two Rolls-Royces. Simon has often been criticized for owning the environmentally unfriendly cars, but recently Simon purchased a $17,000 Mini to drive around town.
Deep down Simon says he still holds to the family values that were taught to him by his father. He has said, “All the things my dad taught me 30 or 40 years ago are still relevant. Don’t live beyond your means, nothing comes for nothing, you’ve got to work hard, be patient and believe in quality.”
Butif all of that common sensejust seems like too much for you to handle, I’ll leave you with Simon’s recent cut-down of the social networking site Twitter. Simonremarks, “Why would you want to talk to people like that? It’s like phoning someone randomly whose number you don’t even have and saying, ‘Hi, it’s Simon, I went out with my family this weekend.’”
There we go. Now things are back to normal.
