After winning American Idolseason 4, Carrie Underwood has gone on to be one of the most successful artists ever to be on the show. Her debut album Some Hearts was the certified seven times platinum and also the fastest selling solo country debut album in history. To add to her multiple grammies, Carrie snagged some more awards on Sunday at the American Country Music Awards…
Since 1970 there have only been six females who have taken home the honor of Entertainer of the Year at the ACM Awards, and Carrie Underwood is now the seventh.When she accepted the award, a tearful Carrie said, “I’ve had a lot of good moments in the last four years. This one takes the cake! Thank you God, thank you fans, thank you to ACM for nominating me in the first place. I never thought I’d be nominated and never thought I’d win.”
Carrie continued, “I’m shaking. I don’t know what to say. I got nothing. Mike, baby, I wish you were here!”Mike Fisher,Ottawa Senators hockey player,is Carrie’s boyfriend.The artistalso took home the award for Top Female Vocalist, which she has won for three consecutive years.
