Tonight on American Idol, Flo Rida and season 5 American Idol contestant, Kellie Pickler performed and one more American Idol hopeful went home. Ryan Seacrest opened the show by asking the judges what they thought of last night’s show. Randy Jackson thought that last night was flat and Kara DioGuardi thought that the early front-runners were having an identity crisis. Who fell flat for the American viewers last night? Keep reading to find out.

Ryan Seacrest made fun of Simon Cowell and his age and told him that he knew a hit from the year Simon Cowell was born (1959) and showed a clip of Frankie Avalon singing Venus. Frankie Avalon then came out and sang the song live! The Group song tonight was, I Can’t Get You Out of My Head. Tonight it seemed to be a live performance and it was very well done!

The newest Ford video behind the scenes was then shown and itwas tapedon the set of a magic show. The videowas created to Britney Spears song, Circus.

Next Ryan Seacrest talked to Adam Lambert about Simon Cowell giving him a standing ovation last night on the show and Adam was honored by it. The mayor from Matt’s hometown was in the audience tonight as well.

The bottom three awaited their fate as Kellie Pickler took to the stage to perform her single, The Best Days of Your Life from her new self-titled album.

Finally the bottom three took center stage and Lil was sent back to her seat on the couch.

After 34 million votes…only 30,000 separated Scott and Anoop. And Anoop was SAFE!

Ryan gave Scott the mic and he sang TSIO again from last nightas Scott’s mom cried in the audience.

When he was done, Simon Cowell said two people think he should stay and two think he should go. Simon thensaid it’s tough and that others are more talented and he finally said sorry, but no.

So, tonight Scottwent home. He is cute and is such an inspiration. He will be missed in the competition in the weeks to come. Paula Abdul confirmed my sentiments.
