Amazing Race 14: Teams Leave Their Bags Behind In Thailand

Tonight on CBS‘s The Amazing Race, teams will be headed off to Bangkok, Thailand. Several teams will find themselves coming up short on money, while others will accidentally leave critical travel documents behind. When it comes to elimination, two teams receive penalties that they will have to fix before checking in. Find out which team won’t be able to recover…
This leg of The Amazing Racestarts at a buddhist temple in Thailand. Tammy and Victor are the first to depart to Bangkok, where they must find a boat yard to obtain their next clue. All the teams are still having a hard time dealing with the heat and dehydration. All five teams manage to get on the same flight to Bangkok and it’s anyone’s race to find the first clue. Margie and Luke are the first to arrive and encounter a road block.
ROAD BLOCK: one person must figure out how to attach a boat to it’s propeller and navigate the boat through the Bangkok canals using their map to locate the Penninsula Pier.
As Kesha and Jen are taking off in their boat, they realize their passports and things are back at the dock. Jen says don’t worry because everyone else’s is too. Kesha is worried because she doesn’t know if they will be going back to the dock afterwards. Tammy and Victor get out on the water, but have to go back because their propeller breaks. Once they get back on track, they make sure to bring their stuff with them before taking off. Next, the teams encounter a detour.
DETOUR: In broken teeth, they must search through 50 sets of dentures to find ones that fit the patients until they are all smiling pretty. In broken record they must choose a taxi with a karaoke system, join with locals and sing along until they reach their destination.
Cara and Jamie opt for broken record, but they quickly realize the streets are flooded with water and it will take them forever to get through the city. Meanwhile, Mark and Mike are fighting over whether or not they should go back and get their bags, however, they are running short on cab money. Margie and Luke are doing broken teeth, but are having a hard time matching up the dentures, but eventually end up being the first team to move on to the pit stop. Tammy and Victor are having fun singing along with the locals in their taxi, while completing their detour.
Kesha and Jen have ran out of money, while Cara and Jamie are well on their way to the pit stop. Tied with them are Tammy and Victor. Mark and Mike finally recover their belongings before moving on to the detour, however, they are close to being broke.
Margie and Luke are the first to reach the pit stop at the Phya Thai Palace and win a trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico. Jamie and Cara are the second team to arrive. Kesha and Jen and Tammy and Victor arrive at the pit stop at the same time… BUT Kesha and Jen are told that since they don’t have their travel documents they can’t be checked in! Therefore, Tammy and Victor are team three, while Jen and Kesha take off to get their bags.
Mark and Mike are the fourth team to arrive, but are told that they have a four hour penalty for bartering with personal goods for cab fair. Okay, did you guys learn nothing last week?! When Kesha and Jen arrive back at the pit stop they are absolutely stunned that they are still in the game. Phil brings Mike and Mark over and tells them that this is a non-elimination leg! These guys just can’t seem to get eliminated. BUT they will have to wait out the remainder of their penalty at the beginning of the next leg and they will encounter a speed bump.
The Amazing Race 14 airs Sundays at 8 PM ETon CBS.
